Racine & Me: Neuro Advantage Expands Exercise Offerings with New Rock Steady Boxing Program
RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- Staying active and building community just got even easier for older adults in Racine. Neuro Advantage is offering a lineup of fun, supportive exercise classes geared toward those 55 and older, with programs adaptable for all ability levels.
All classes are led by licensed physical therapists who specialize in optimizing results, while safely adapting and modifying exercises to meet each participant’s needs.
Among the offerings are PWR! Moves, Strength and Stability, Focus and Flexibility, and the newest addition — Rock Steady Boxing.
Rock Steady Boxing was founded in 2006 and is an evidence-based, non-contact boxing program designed specifically for individuals living with Parkinson’s Disease. The program focuses on improving balance, strength, agility, and overall quality of life — all in a supportive, empowering environment. There are now more than 800 Rock Steady gyms worldwide, and no boxing experience is needed to join.
Class Schedule:
Rock Steady Boxing – Mondays at 2:00 p.m. and Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m.
PWR! Moves – Tuesdays and Fridays at 1:00 p.m.
Focus and Flexibility – Wednesdays at 12:15 p.m.
Strength and Stability – Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m. and Thursdays at 10:00 a.m.
All classes are available through a monthly membership, which includes access to in-person sessions, live-streamed classes, and an online video library.
