Racine & Me November, 12 2017: Burlington Light Up The Night, Racine Garden Club, and KRINGLE…The Musical?
Jacob Kittilstad lamented about a stained suit jacket before welcoming the organizers of Light Up The Night to the studio. The event is sponsored by the Burlington Chamber of Commerce and brings giant spotlights into the city to help celebrate the holiday season. It’s scheduled for Friday, November 17 – when many Burlington area businesses will have extended hours and customers will have an opportunity to give to “Operation Burlington Food Drive”. Next, the Racine Garden Club joined Jacob to talk about what they do when the weather gets cold. The group is involved with many beautification projects around the city – and when it gets cold they remove most of the plants, sometimes replacing them decorative grasses that look nice in the snow. Racine Garden Club leadership also reflected on the past year and looked forward to their goals in 2018. Click here for more information
And the Over Our Head Players are having an extremely successful run of their new production KRINGLE…The Musical? The show’s writer/director describes it as local humor mixed with half-baked songs in “the best original sketch comedy musical about Racine and pastry ever written”. The troupe also announced an additional show on the calendar in honor of their Racine & Me appearance because all of their other tickets had sold out! In response Jacob Kittilstad gave their group a commemorative homebrew branded as KRING-Ale…The Beer? Click here for show information
