BURLINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A new video game lounge in Burlington promises to build a sense of community, all while having fun!
James Hauser is the owner of The Forge. He joined us in studio to talk about the evolution of this space.
Hauser said this was originally just a podcast studio for Bad Movies Rule, which is currently ranked as the sixth film Podcast on Spotify.
The crew decided to open a storefront (the forge) which is a video game lounge featuring retro systems and current gaming. The aim is to build community in Burlington and give people the opportunity to make friends and play games together.
They also have movies, toys and film collectibles for sale. They are located downtown Burlington at 517 Milwaukee Avenue. Gaming time is a flat $5-$10 depending on the day, and you can play as long as you want. They hope people will congregate here and build new friendships
The podcast, bad movies rule, is available on Spotify and apple podcasts and is a comedy show where the panel roasts (and sometimes defends) movies with low critics scores and is currently a top 5 film podcast on Spotify.
