Another chance for patchy frost as 2024 stays mild
RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Racine Campus of the Wisconsin Humane Society is offering up the chance to help you and your dog bond!
WHS is thrilled to announce that they now offer dog training classes at our Racine Campus! Prior to their new building in Mount Pleasant, they didn’t have the space to be able to offer these classes to the public.
The Racine community was excited about the potential for dog training classes – but Covid delayed those plans. Now, with adequate space and staffing, we are so pleased to finally be able to make this happen.
It’s something the community has been asking us for, for a long time. Two separate courses start Thursday, September 12th – Dog Manners Class begins at 6pm, and Puppy Classes start at 7:15.
There is another round of classes beginning October 24th. These are group classes and they’re open to everyone, whether your dog is from the Wisconsin Humane Society, another shelter, or a breeder. We use positive reinforcement and reward-based training to really focus on building the bond between dogs and their owners.
The Racine Campus is a convenient location – 8900 16th Street – and it’s a really beautiful space, both inside and outside. Class size is limited so you want to be sure to sign up as soon as you can. A link to register for classes, as well as additional information on dog training, can be found on their website, wihumane.org.
