RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The city of Racine partnered with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin for a mobile food drive Tuesday, Oct. 12.
It was held Tuesday afternoon at the Dr. John Bryant Community Center.
More than 200 families stopped by the pantry for a healthy pre-packaged meal.
Lesia Hill-Driver is director of the community center. She says there's a growing need to address hunger in Southeast Wisconsin.
"We're located very close to our shelter here in Racine," Hill-Driver said. "So I see hunger on a daily basis. We feed children here after school. There's just a great need, people need food."
According to Feeding America, one in seven people in eastern Wisconsin is facing hunger.
The groups say they're always looking for volunteers.
If you're interested head to the Dr. John Bryant Community Center to find out how you can join their team.
