Red Cross partners with NFL to offer free trip to Super Bowl LVI

WISCONSIN (CBS 58) – The American Red Cross and the National Football League are teaming up to urge people, especially those who have recovered from COVID-19, to donate blood.

Right now, the Red Cross says there is a national convalescent plasma shortage. Those who have recovered from COVID-19 have antibodies in their plasma which can help those currently fighting the virus.

People who donate in January will automatically be entered to win two tickets to the 2022 Super Bowl in Los Angeles. Those who donate between January 1-20 will also be entered to win a ‘Big Game at Home package’ including a 65-inch T.V. and a $500 gift card.

People can schedule an appointment to give blood or attend an upcoming blood drive. All of the information can be found on the Red Cross website.
