Reports: Giannis to miss next week, All-Star game as he battles calf injury

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Multiple NBA sources are reporting that Bucks' Star Giannis Antetokounmpo will miss the next week of games, including the All-Star game in San Francisco. 

NBA insider Shams Charania announced the injury news on 'X' early morning on Sun. Feb. 9th:

Giannis was set to play against Bucks teammate Damian Lillard in the All-Star game on Sun. Feb. 16 at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

Giannis was a part of "Team Chuck" while Dame is set to play for "Team Shaq". 

Giannis's injury news comes on the heels of the team trading away long-time player Khris Middleton this past week: Bucks adding Kyle Kuzma, sending Khris Middleton to Wizards in trade.

Antetokounmpo is currently slated to return shortly after the All-Star break. 

Meanwhile, the Bucks also announced that Guard Andre Jackson Jr. will participate in the All-Star weekend Dunk contest on Sat. Feb. 15:
