Retired West Allis police sergeant facing child pornography charges

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A retired West Allis police sergeant is facing charges of child porn possession.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Justice, 73-year-old Robert Reynolds was arrested in West Allis Nov. 22 following the execution of a search warrant at his home.

They say the warrant was the result of three cyber tips of child sexual assault material originating at Reynolds' home internet service.

According to a criminal complaint, Reynolds told investigators he habitually viewed child pornography and as long as he stops viewing it, then it is, "no harm, no foul."

Reynolds made an initial appearance in court on Nov. 25.

The investigation is being led by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force at DOJ and is assisted by ICAC Task Force Victim Services.

The case is being prosecuted by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
