RNC Fashion: 'The real theme here is patriotic clothes'
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- While delegates enjoy convening with their fellow party members from around the country every four years at the Republican National Convention, they also have a great time showing off their GOP ensembles.
"When you pack for the convention, you look for red, white and blue, and you look for your flag shirts and other patriotic memorabilia and jewelry," Alternate Florida Delegate Mary Lazich said. "It's a great time amongst friends. Everyone is outdoing everyone else with their Republican garb. It's a lot of fun, very entertaining."
"You put a lot of red, white and blue into your bag because the Republican Party is very patriotic, and you really get a sense of the patriotism of the party. I'm on the floor, so everything is red, white and blue," Florida Delegate Blake Bell said.
Whether it is a piece of clothing that represents the USA or a tiny touch all bout America's 45th president, Republicans went all out for the convention.
"Every day I've had a pair of pants on that signifies why we're here," Bell said. "The first two days had elephants for Republicans. Today, it has American flags because we're here for freedom," Bell said.
As expected, conventiongoers sported their Make America Great Again merch.
"It's important because we support him. We want to feel American with all the American flags and American colors," conventiongoer Chistina Brito said.
"The real theme here is patriotic clothes. We're here to support President Trump, make sure he's our president," West Virginia Delegate Marissa Findlay said.
Thursday is the fourth and final day of the Republican National Convention.
