Rooted in Wisconsin: Mason and Molly Crosby attend Madison event raising money for cancer research

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- It's been three years since Mason Crosby last kicked a field goal for the Green Bay Packers, but he has not cut ties with Wisconsin.
On Tuesday, Sept. 16, Crosby and his wife, Molly, were in Madison to raise money for cancer research.
"Just because I'm not playing in Green Bay, like our hearts are still in Wisconsin. We still want to give back and be a part of these communities," Crosby said.
The Crosbys were the headliners for the Andy North and Friends Luncheon.
The event raises money for the UW Health Carbone Cancer Center and its innovative research.
Molly Crosby survived a rare form of lung cancer, and now she and her husband are passionate about advocating for cancer care.
"It's important to us, because we know it could affect us at another point," said Molly Crosby. "I know that I could call Andy and Sue, I could call Carbone, I could call people and they would just say like if it's not here we're gonna help you and get you somewhere else."
The Andy North and Friends organization has raised more than $20 million for the Carbone Center since it started in 2009.
Meantime, we asked Crosby about this year's Packers team, and he said he's "excited." Based on their two games, he says this could be one of those "special teams."
