School District of Waukesha announces 2021-22 school year learning options

WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The School District of Waukesha announced options for its students and families for the 2021-22 school year.

Parents can enroll their kids in face-to-face learning or they can enroll in Waukesha' online school service, called eAchieve. Students who choose to enroll at eAchieve will still be allowed to keep their primary home school listed as their attendance area school to ensure they are still eligible to play sports and participate in other extracurricular activities

Some other options like virtual livestreaming have been eliminated.

"We're incredibly proud of our students and staff as they adapted to new teaching and learning methods with such resilience. Ultimately, this resilience allowed us to be the only District of our size to remain open for the 2020-2021 school year," the district said in a news release.

Families have been asked to share their learning preferences for the 2021-2022 school year by March 17, 2021.
