MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A motorcycle crash on the Hoan Bridge left one person dead, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded to the single-vehicle incident on I-794 southbound after witness calls were made to the county’s 911 Dispatch Center.

The crash happened Sunday, June 23 at around 9:17 p.m.

Authorities report the motorcycle was carrying one rider, on whom deputies performed life-saving efforts, which were continued by Milwaukee Fire Department responders. The rider was pronounced dead shortly before 10 p.m.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 21-year-old Devon Davis of Oak Creek. 

The incident remains under investigation, and no further details have yet been released regarding the rider’s identity or potential cause of the crash.
