DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Dodge County Sheriff's Office is pushing back on a claim linked to an immigration arrest in Chicago.
It started when 28-year-old Sunny Naqvi-a US citizen- was detained by ICE agents at O'Hare Airport last week.
Illinois officials claim she was then transferred to the Dodge County Jail, only to be released days later with no explanation.
"All she was told was that there was, you know, curious travel history, but they had no cause to detain her for those 30-odd hours," said Kevin Morrison, Cook County commissioner.
The sheriff's office says they have no record of her being booked into jail. They're now trying to get in touch with Naqvi to try to correct the record.
Meanwhile, her lawyer says they are considering legal action. As of Tuesday night, no lawsuits have been filed.
