Slinger Speedway announces pending sale to new owners

CBS 58 SLINGER, Wis. (CBS 58) -- They've been racing at Slinger Speedway since 1948, and now the owners of the quarter-mile track announced its pending sale.
A message shared on Facebook from Todd and Elizabeth Thelen does not identify the potential new owners, but they call them "local buyers" and racing fans who also have competed as racers.
They'll be identified once the sale is complete.
Meanwhile, the Thelens say there are no anticipated changes in this year's race schedule.
Competition starts in April.
