Smoking to be banned outside Panther Arena, Wisconsin Center, Miller High Life Theatre starting January 1
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The Wisconsin Center District has announced that their campus will go smoke and tobacco-free beginning January 1, 2019. The WCD owns and operates the Wisconsin Center, Miller High Life Theatre, and UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.
The new policy will include cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes, chewing tobacco, and any other smoke or tobacco product.
“Developments and construction west of the river are all trending toward being a health-minded community. The WCD will become part of a smoke and tobacco-free neighborhood, continuing the expectation of visitors and guests to be free from smoke and tobacco whether they’re attending a concert, game, convention, or just crossing our campus in their daily lives,” said WCD CEO Marty Brooks.
