Snow chances return Thursday evening and could last through the weekend
The start to Thursday is sunny and cold with wind chills hovering around 0. Wind chills Thursday afternoon don't get much better than the teens in the afternoon. Friday sees temperatures warm a bit with wind chills in the teens and 20s. Saturday will be colder with wind chills around 0 in the morning to around 10 Saturday afternoon.
Snow chances will return to the area Thursday evening. We still start those chances around 5 PM with some minor impacts to the later Thursday evening commute. The Friday morning commute will likely be more impacted with some snow accumulation already on the roads and light snow continuing to fall.
More scattered snow showers are expected throughout the day Friday but we will likely see long dry periods between some of the showers. Snow totals from Thursday evening through Friday evening will likely be in the 1-3" range. You might not wake up to those totals Friday morning but by the end of the day most of our local area will see those numbers.
The most impactful snow will be Thursday evening then throughout the day on Friday but both Saturday and Sunday could feature light nuisance snow showers and flurries. Could get another half inch or so of snow each of those days with any accumulation that happens.
