Snow on the way for Halloween....Updated Forecast
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Not many changes to the snowy Halloween forecast. Snow will arrive overnight and continue on and off through Tuesday. We expect the snow to wrap-up by the early evening for Trick or Treating.
Wind chills in the 20s and low visibility will be the primary concerns, especially with any snow squalls. Roads as a whole should be ok.
Many areas will pickup around an inch or so of slushy snow. The lakefront will likely see more of a mix of rain and snow, so lower accumulation is likely.

The cold air rolled in at the end of last week and now the snow arrives. Low temperatures Monday morning dropped into the 20s for most of southeast Wisconsin or right around 30* near the lakefront. It is the coldest morning of the season for most hometowns and more 20s are on the way for the rest of the week.
Snow weather records have been kept in Milwaukee for over 150 years. During that time, we have only had snow on Halloween 11 times. That includes days with just snowflakes and flurries, not just accumulating snow.
Halloween 2023 will likely become the 12th Halloween on record to see snow. Snow rolls in during the early morning commute with scattered snow showers throughout the rest of the morning and afternoon. Most of the snow likely wraps up around dinnertime so evening trick-or-treating for Halloween might start to dry out.
Accumulating snow does look likely for all of southeast Wisconsin on Halloween. Most of the accumulating snow will stay on grassy surfaces or your cars, patio furniture, etc. Some driveways and sidewalks could become snow covered but well traveled roads should stay relatively snow free. Bridges and overpasses will likely be slick.
