SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Sheboygan Police Department responded to a threat circulating on social media at North High School Wednesday, Sept. 11, causing a lockdown.
Officers came to the school and put a soft lockdown in place, keeping students in their classrooms.
The threat was eventually determined to be not credible, and class dismissed normally with an extra police presence.
We spoke to a parent who picked her children up from school early because of this threat.
"I'm hoping that they get down to the bottom of it," said Honay Brown, parent. "And if a kid did do it, they need to be punished. This is not something to play with."
The school principal said more information would be sent to families later Wednesday evening.
