MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A new tech company is officially open for business in Milwaukee's Third Ward.
SoftwareOne cut the ribbon on its new North American headquarters Tuesday, March 14.
The global software company has been based in Waukesha since 1985.
But now, as the company's president says, Milwaukee provides everything they're looking for.
"Milwaukee is just a really amazing city, for cost of living, for building a tech ecosystem again. And I think there's a lot of pull in what brings the historical Milwaukee presence to all of our people," said Ashley Baird, president of SoftwareOne North America.
The company will be employing 135 people from the Milwaukee area and they're hopeful about continuing economic growth in the Third Ward.
