One north side Milwaukee restaurant has an order of soul to go with its other menu selections. Mama Nana's is also one of the 18 eating establishments featured as part of "Black Restaurant Week."
I spent some breakfast time with owner and master cook Lula Rogers. She says she's glad to get all the exposure and hopes this gives people an opportunity to try her food.
Black Restaurant Week runs through the April 23rd. It's sponsored by Blank Space MKE, an online art cooperative. Click on the attached link for all the featured places and special offers.
