CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A police source tells us an officer with the Milwaukee Police Department was shot and injured near 37th and Wright Tuesday night, Sept. 8. We're told the officer's injuries are non-life-threatening.
Two other people are said to be involved in the incident; our source tells us one of those people remains on the run.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office confirms they've been called to the scene.
Milwaukee police are asking the public to avoid the area.
