Station 1846, new hub for City Tours MKE, to host grand opening in Walker's Point Aug. 2
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Station 1846 has been open for just about a month now. But this Friday they'll host the official grand opening celebration with live art, music and drink specials.
The lounge will serve caffeinated drinks, mocktails and cocktails all day long.
"Wisconsin staples-- the old fashioned, the bloody Mary, but also giving our favorites like espresso martinis and spicy margaritas," said Meghan Miles.
Meghan Miles is the owner of Station 1846 and City Tours MKE. It's been ten years since she started City Tours MKE. Now, Station 1846 will serve as the hub, a start and stop point for the tours.
"Tourists, leisure travelers, corporate travelers, we want to make them feel like this is their home base, the neighborhood pub where people come and gather and rave about our city and talk about how great our city is," said Miles.
They offer personalized pub crawls, tailgating experience and the most popular, Discover Milwaukee Tour.
"Milwaukee has changed so much, and it's seeing it from a new light and our tour guides are so enthusiastic about the city. It brings it to a new light.
Miles envisions Station 1846 as a meeting space. They'll host seasonal pop-up events and corporate parties of all types.
