Another chance for patchy frost as 2024 stays mild
The start of September was a bit cool with highs in the 70s to start the month then at the end of last week we only had highs in the 60s but since then we've been mild with highs in the 80s. So far, the month is still overall cool with an average temperature of 66.4 degrees a whole two degrees below average.
The above average temperatures that kicked in to start this week will stay with us through the start of next week with highs in the low 80s the next two days then hovering around 80 going into next week.
In fact, the above average temperatures may continue through the rest of September. The current 8-14 day temperature trend which takes us through September 25th has a 70-80% chance for above average temperatures across the state of Wisconsin. There's a good chance temperatures hang out around 80 for the foreseeable future.
So far this week humidity levels have stayed pleasant and comfortable but that will start to change as we end the week with some noticeable humidity returning Thursday then some slight mugginess arrives Friday and Saturday.
