Steady rain continues most of Thursday

NOW: Steady rain continues most of Thursday
NEXT:

It is another wet start to the day. Our second round of steady rain started just before midnight Wednesday night and has continued into the morning hours. The steady rain will likely linger through at least the midday hours.

Here is a look at the radar image that will update with time:

The best time for heavy, steady rain will be through the late morning hours. While the rain could stay steady for most of the afternoon, it should start to lighten up a little bit. Some weather models suggest we could see dry time by dinner time but others keep in at least shower chances through almost midnight Thursday night.

Since Tuesday night, rainfall totals are in the range of 0.50-1.50" for most of southeast Wisconsin. By Wednesday morning many areas had close to a half inch of rain. The rain Thursday morning has been even heavier pushing rain totals over the inch mark.

We could nearly double those rain totals by the end of Thursday. More heavy rain is possible during the morning hours with light rain in the afternoon and evening. Another 0.50-1.50" of rain will be possible in many communities by the time it's all done Thursday evening.
