Have you been enjoying the nice break for the intense heat of summer? We get a few more days of that with highs in the middle 70s Thursday and Friday, but as we go into the weekend the 80s and warmth starts to return. Next week is not looking as hot as it once was but consistent middle to upper 80s look likely right now.
And once that heat starts to return, it looks like it stays with us with a 70% chance for above average temps for the entire first week of August. With average highs in the low 80s, there's a pretty good chance for middle to upper 80s and maybe an isolated 90 here and there.
Dew points stay reasonable Thursday and Friday in the low 60s where you might notice it here and there. The humidity becomes a bit more noticeable or muggy at times on Saturday but the bigger humidity doesn't return until next week.
Rain chances completely stay away the next 72 hours with no chance for rain or storms Thursday, Friday or Saturday. The rain chance starts to return Sunday through the next week work.
Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather app to track the temps for a busy weekend of events and see when some rain might roll in Sunday.
