Glendale (CBS 58)--You can get a good workout in and raise money for the awareness of Automated External Defibrillators, or AEDs. Next Wednesday, March 20th, all five Elite Sports Clubs will host "Cardio Madness Day." It's a way to learn about the importance of getting a good workout for your heart through step and spin classes. For everyone taking a session, the club will donate a dollar to Project ADAM. This initiative assists schools and communities in establishing an emergency plan in cases of a sudden cardiac arrest through AEDs. Project ADAM is named after 17-year Adam Lemel from Whitefish Bay who died from sudden cardiac arrest twenty years ago.
Non-members are welcomed as well for "Cardio Madness Day," but you're asked to pay a $15 donation. To learn more about Project ADAM, just click here.
