MILWAUKEE, (CBS 58) -- Summerfest celebrated America's 250th birthday with a special Independence Day community program on July 4.
Festivalgoers were invited to take part in the special program and flag wave at the Generac Power Stage.
At the event, Summerfest officials also presented the nonprofit "Center for Veterans Issues" with a check donation of over $28,000.
The program also featured a special performance of God Bless America performed by Jenny Thiel, as well as a performance from the BoDeans.
