Fall is just a week away with the Autumnal Equinox arriving Monday, September 22nd at 7:43 AM when the sun is over the Equator and moving south towards the tropic of Capricorn.
The approaching fall season means our hours of daylight are getting shorter. The sunrise time is now after 6:30 AM which happened at the end of last week and Sunday evening was our last 7 PM sunset of the season with a 6:58 PM sunset this evening. Total daylight is now under twelve and a half hours and we are currently losing nearly three minutes of daylight every day.
