MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) - A Milwaukee resident has had enough after two bricks are thrown threw her car windshield.
The vandalism was caught on surveillance video.
It happened to Chai Thao’s car Tuesday night near the corner of 80th and Bobolink.
“Just, loss of words,” said Thao as she stood in front of her shattered windshield.
The vandalism was caught by multiple surveillance cameras.
Thao’s boyfriend Danny Yang posted the video, along with angry words, on Facebook.
Both say they’ve had enough of this type of vandalism.
“It’s getting out of hand,” said Yang, “I just hope situations like this get handled by the cops.”
“Recently the community has been more dangerous, and more, just situations like this happening,” said Thao.
It’s happening so often, Thao’s dad added a half dozen cameras all around their home.
“I just hope that my story gets out there so other people are aware of what’s really going on in our community,” said Thao.
“I really want to share to my friends and family most importantly,” said Vang.
For now the car is in the garage, but Thao is already moving forward.
“I don’t hold grudges,” said Thao, “I’m just going to let it go and move on with my life, obviously get it fixed and hope that nothing like this happens again.”
This isn’t the first time something has happened to Thao, someone broke into her car recently, but she thinks this was a random act.
