Talking Mild Temps To Continue in the Days Ahead

NOW: Talking Mild Temps To Continue in the Days Ahead

Astronomical Spring got underway this weekend and I think most of us can agree that the weather is starting to feel more like it too. With multiple chances for rain, possibly thunder in the coming days, that will also add to the Spring feel... check out Sam's last blog on the active weather. But let's talk a little more about the warmth as we'll detail rain chances in the days ahead in our CBS58 weather blogs.

You know we've actually been treated to double the amount of 60s we normally would in March.

Including today, we've had six days in the 60s, a nice treat as anything can happen weather wise this time of year. The year of 2012 is proof of that! The peak of the warmth so far came today as Milwaukee experienced its warmest day of 2021!
It has been a long time since we've felt air this mild, in fact the last warmer day goes back to early November, over 130 days ago! And many other spots across the area also experienced the mild 60s today. Check it out:
While this looks to be the mildest day of the week, there are signs continued warmth will be with us as we flip the calendar from March to April. Average highs will push into the upper 40s as we change months, but we'll likely feel some days warmer than that. The latest temperature outlook from NOAA's Climate Prediction Center has us pegged with about a 40% chance for above normal temps.
And did you know on average we experience our first 70 degree day of the year by April 2nd? Fingers crossed we'll be right on time for that this year!
