Taylor and Badgers run all over Rutgers, win 31-17

Jonathan Taylor gave the Wisconsin Badgers a big boost in the second half and helped his team win 31-17 over Rutgers Saturday afternoon in Madison.

The Badgers were only up 10-0 at halftime and their starting quarterback Alex Hornibrook could no longer continue. That's when Taylor gave the team two more touchdowns and helped control the clock.

In total, Taylor carried the ball 27 times for 208 yards and three touchdowns. With all of those carries and yards, sophomore quarterback Jack Coan only had to throw seven passes.

Hornibrook was mostly ineffective in the first half, throwing two interceptions and no touchdowns. However, both interceptions did not lead to any points for Rutgers.

Once Coan came in for the second half, it was almost all run plays for the Badgers.

Saturday's win for the Badgers puts them at 6-3 overall and 4-2 in the Big Ten Conference. Up next for the Badgers is an away game against Penn State.
