MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- At a news conference held inside the Milwaukee Art Museum Wednesday, May 6, Taylor Jenkins officially became the 19th head coach in Milwaukee Bucks history.
Jenkins, in his opening statement said he, "wants to build a championship caliber team" and wants to build a culture as the most competitive team on the floor.

But the offseason will remain in flux, as Bucks co-owner Jimmy Haslem mentioned the NBA Draft in late June and the team will spend the coming weeks to determine if Giannis Antetokounmpo and his representation are interested in signing a contract extension or if they will trade him.
The NBA Draft lottery could play into this, as that will be on Sunday.
Jenkins spent six seasons as the head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies. Prior to that, Jenkins was in Milwaukee as an assistant coach for one season (2018-2019) on Mike Budenholzer’s Bucks' staff that won a league-high 60 games and reached the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2000-01.
