MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The 13-year-old boy arrested in connection to a shooting that killed an 11-year-old Tuesday night appeared in court for the first time Thursday afternoon, Sept. 18. 

We are not naming him because he's a minor. 

Milwaukee police say 11-year-old Deon Sargent died earlier this week as a result of a robbery. 

Mayor Cavalier Johnson says police told him Sargent was wrestling with another child over a gun when it went off. 

On Wednesday, loved ones held a vigil and balloon release near 68th and Silver Spring, where the shooting happened. 

The 13-year-old suspect will have his next court appearance Monday, Sept. 22, at 2:30 p.m.
