MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Four local teens will share their personal mental health stories at the third annual "One Thing I Wish You Knew" event Sunday, Nov. 23 at the Italian Community Center in Milwaukee.

The teen-led event runs from 3 to 5 p.m. and features honest accounts of mental health challenges meant to inspire conversation and break stigma, according to organizers. Friendship Circle of Wisconsin and REDgen are hosting the gathering.

We were joined by Levi Stein, President of Friendship Circle of Wisconsin, as well as Maya Siegel and Claire Tentoni, two of the "One Thing I Wish You" speakers on Wednesday, Nov. 12 for a preview.

Milwaukee's largest mental health resource fair will also take place at the event, bringing together local organizations offering support and tools.

Last year's event drew 500 attendees, including 200 teens and nearly 300 adults comprised of educators, mental health professionals, nonprofit leaders, parents and caregivers, organizers say.

The event is intended for people ages 13 and older. Parking is available in a surface lot at the Italian Community Center.
