MILWAUKEE, (CBS 58) -- Looking back at the Brewers week that was? The debut of top pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski tops the list. And not realizing he had a no hitter going when he exited, all the more amazing.
CBS58 Sports Director Lance Allan asks you didn't realize that you had a no no going?
"No, no I didn't," Misiorowski says. "I didn't realize until like I got off the field and I was in the clubhouse. You know and then looked at the box score when it switched off the screen. I was like oh, we don't have any hits. Wait, they have nothing. So yeah it was cool."
So what was that first pitch like as well? Like everybody knows you can throw 101, 102, even sometimes touch 103. But I would imagine that you had to probably calm the butterflies down but then let it rip?
"Yeah no, I honestly can't believe it was 100," Misiorowski says. "So I was calming myself so far down that I was like, I don't know if this is, we're just gonna get it in the zone. So if he hits it he hits it. You know, but it came out pretty good so I was happy with it."
And I know it's not a new thing but what does he think of the nickname the Miz?
"All in. Let's do it. Yeah," Misiorowski says. "You know, maybe we need to DM the Miz the wrestler to get the intro song but you know. We'll see."
Does he want a cage match with him or anything?
"Oh no. I'm gonna pass on that one," Misiorowski says with a laugh. "A little bit bigger than me. You know. He's got me by a little bit."
He's a good talker too.
"Oh yeah. He's a lot better than I am," Misiorowski says.
He'll teach you some trash talk though.
"Exactly," Misiorowski quipped.
