The Avett Brothers announced as Summerfest headliner

MILWAUKEE (CBs 58) -- The Avett Brothers have been announced as a headliner for Summerfest, set to perform at the BMO Pavilion with Miller Lite on Thursday, June 26, 2025. This marks the first of nine headlining artists to be revealed for the BMO Pavilion during the festival.

Concertgoers will have the option of purchasing reserved seats or accessing free general admission seating on a first-come, first-served basis with a Summerfest ticket. Additional ticket options, including general admission, 3-day, and 9-day UScellular Power Passes, will be available soon.

The Avett Brothers are three-time Grammy Award nominees known for their 2009 major label debut, "I and Love and You." Subsequent albums like "The Carpenter" and "Magpie and the Dandelion" reached the top five on the Billboard 200 chart. Their 2016 album "True Sadness" debuted atop Billboard’s Top Albums chart and earned two Grammy nominations.

The band has been inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Americana Music Association. They are touring the U.S. ahead of the Broadway debut of "Swept Away," a musical featuring their music.

Tickets for reserved seating go on sale Friday, Nov. 15, at 10 a.m. through Summerfest.com, Ticketmaster.com or at the Summerfest Box Office. First-come, first-served general admission is included with a ticket to Summerfest on the day of the performance.
