A cold front has cleared the area this afternoon providing light rain and blustery north winds.  Over the next 24 hours colder air will continue to arrive heading into the weekend.  Highs on Friday are expected to only climb into the middle 40s.  The last time Milwaukee had highs in the 40s was May 1.

These highs in the 40s are more consistent around the end of November.  This has been a nice stretch of unseasonably warm highs.  The last time Milwaukee was below normal on highs was October 30th.

A hard freeze will be expected across most of the area by Saturday morning.  Most inland areas will range between 28 to 30 degrees.  Lakeside areas will hover around 32.
