The heat and humidity continue Wednesday with more storm chances
We've already seen a few hot days this week and the humidity levels have been unbearable at times. High temperatures on Tuesday reached the 90s in a few isolated areas with many seeing at least the upper 80s. For the third day in a row Milwaukee hit 87 degrees.
Dew points on Tuesday were disgusting in the upper 70s and low 80s in many areas. The high humidity levels combined with the warm temperatures pushed feels like temps 10-15 degrees above the air temps. Bristol hit 112 for a feels like temp Tuesday and many other areas were around or above 100.
We will see similar heat and humidity levels on Wednesday with high temps once again hovering in the upper 80s to around 90. The temperatures do drop the rest of the week, especially lakeside, where a lake breeze will drop us into the low to middle 80s. It's not until Sunday that the temp gets closer to average in the upper 70s.
Humidity levels will stay high as well. Dew points mostly stay in the low to middle 70s on Wednesday. And even though the temperatures will drop on Thursday, dew points will stay high so don't expect the sweat or sticky factor to end any time soon.
The combination of warm temps and high humidity levels will once again push feels like temps all the way to 100 degrees for Wednesday, and even above in some isolated areas. With the lower temps Thursday and Friday the heat index values won't be as bad but could still hit 90 or 95 making it feel pretty hot.
In addition to the heat and humidity, we could see a few storms on Wednesday. The best chance is during the morning, but a few isolated showers or storms cannot be ruled out for the afternoon and evening. All of southeast Wisconsin currently remains in a Level 1 Marginal Risk for strong storms on Wednesday, but I would not be surprised if we were taken out of that by the late morning Storm Prediction Center update.
