MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- The Milwaukee Police Department wants to appear on 'The First 48: Tracking a Killer'.
Milwaukee's Public Safety and Health Committee will take up a request by the police department to be the focus of the national TV show.
The A&E network's 'The First 48' is a documentary-style reality TV program that goes behind the scenes of real-life criminal investigations.
The full Common Council and Mayor Tom Barrett would also need to sign off on the resolution in order for MPD to participate.
