Theme and dates announced for the 2023 China Lights festival

HALES CORNERS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The China Lights festival at Milwaukee County's Boerner Botanical Gardens announced their 2023 dates and theme for their sixth season. 

The Boerner Botanical Gardens are set to glow once again from Sept. 15 through Oct. 29. This year's theme explores biodiversity in our planet's oceans. 

According to the China Lights festival website, the immersive experience will feature an animated crab, glowing mandarin fish, and a giant octopus tunnel to name a few. 

Food and beverages from local vendors will be provided. The refreshments include tap trailers, a coffee bar, and a variety of Asian and American cuisine. Live entertainment will be on stage at 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. every Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. There will be an additional show at 9:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
