Too funny! Surveillance footage captures poo-petrator on the loose in Pewaukee

PEWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A poo-petrator is on the loose in Pewaukee.

Dan Merkel says he was cleaning up his yard in Pewaukee for the summer when he came across some "evidence" in a planter. Dan tells CBS 58, he didn't clean up the "evidence" at first, but then when he went back to dispose of it, there was more.

Dan posted to a community Facebook group looking for answers. He also decided to do some investigating himself and set up a Ring doorbell camera, hoping to catch the poo-petrator in the act.

Dan got what he asked. Overnight, his Ring camera captured the offender -- a big, furry, beady-eyed raccoon!

Video captured on Dan's Ring camera shows the raccoon meandering around the yard, eventually making its way to the planter in the ground. The raccoon, like he's done it before, is seen balancing on the pot on all four feet before doing its business and leaving.

Dan, and the community Facebook group, had a good laugh out of the ordeal.

Dan tells us a pest control professional reached out, saying they basically left a bathroom for the raccoon, and they should either plant some flowers in the planters or fill the holes.
