MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee Police detective who was set to be sentenced for domestic abuse is now going to trial.
Jason Rodriguez is accused of punching and kicking his girlfriend and hitting her with dinner plates at his home in Greenfield.
Rodriguez was arrested last November. A police report said the fight started when his girlfriend accused him of cheating.
A pretrial hearing is scheduled for late July and a trial will start in August.
