Trick-or-treat times for Milwaukee-area communities 🍬

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- With Halloween falling on a Monday this year, many local communities are scheduling neighborhood trick-or-treating activities for children on the weekend prior to Oct. 31.

We have a list of trick-or-treating schedules that have been posted publicly, as well as other events that are taking place below.


  • Bay View
    • Bay St on the North, Howard on the South, Chase/Howell on the West and Lake on the East.
    • Trick or treating will take place from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Oct. 29.
    • Those participating are asked to leave their porch lights on.
  • Bayside
    • Scheduled Oct. 30 from 1 - 4:00 p.m.
  • Brown Deer
    • Scheduled Oct. 30 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
  • Cudahy
    • Scheduled Oct. 30 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m
  • Fox Point
    • Scheduled Oct. 30 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
  • Franklin

    • Participating households are asked to turn on their porch lights.
  • St. Francis

    • Participating households are asked to leave their porch lights on.
  • Wauwatosa
    • Oct. 30 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m., though local neighborhood associations may have special hours.
  • Waukesha
    • Oct. 31 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
  • West Allis
    • Oct. 29 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.
    • Participating households are asked to leave their porch lights on.
  • West Milwaukee
    • Oct. 29 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.
    • Participating households are asked to leave their porch lights on.
  • Whitefish Bay
    • Oct. 30 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
    • Block parties are NOT permitted on the day of the trick-or-treating.
    • Participating households are asked to leave their porch lights on.




  • Black Cat Alley Halloween Bash
    • Oct. 29, beginning at 9:00 a.m. with a series of family-friendly activities.
    • At 7:00 p.m., Black Cat Alley converts to a free Halloween Throwback Dance Party, featuring an outdoor alley bar, tarot card readings and an adult costume contest.
    • A self-guided East Side Bar Crawl will also take place.
    • "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" will be shown at the Oriental theatre.

  • Bayshore BOOgie Bash and Costume Contest
    • The Yard at Bayshore
    • Oct. 28 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
    • The Yard at Bayshore will come alive with monsters, superheroes, witches and princesses with a free costume contest. A hay maze, robots, laser light shoes and other spooky Halloween displays will also be present. Food trucks will be there, as well.
    • Free admission.
  • Community Trunk or Treat
    • 6725 W. Burleigh St. in the parking lot of Mother of Good Counsel
    • Oct. 30 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
    • A free event where candy will be distributed.
  • Greendale Halloween Parade
    • Scheduled 3:30 p.m. at Jaycee Park
    • A costume contest will follow the parade at Gazebo Park.
    • Admission is free!
  • Jack-O-Lantern Jubliee
    • Red Arrow Park
    • Oct. 29 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
    • Ideal for kids ages 2 - 8 as well as their parents, offering a safe environment to celebrate Halloween. Pumpkins, face painting, pumpkin decorating, Wanda the Witch's story time, bubbles and lots of free goodies.
    • Free admission.
  • Oak Creek Halloween Safe Site
    • Oak Creek Historical Society on 15th Ave. and Forest Hill Ave.
    • Oct. 30 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
    • Kids are invited to trick-or-treat from museum to museum while learning the history of Oak Creek.
    • Free admission.
