WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee man was arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated after authorities say he was driving 115 mph in a 70-mph zone on I-94.
A Wisconsin State Trooper stopped 39-year-old Albert Ray Thompson early Monday, Feb. 10 near Golden Lake Rd. According to officials, the trooper detected a strong odor of intoxicants, and Thompson did not fully comply with field sobriety tests before being taken into custody.
Authorities claim Thompson made multiple threats toward the trooper and was combative while in custody. He was transported to a local hospital for a legal blood draw before being taken to the Jefferson County Jail.
Thompson faces multiple charges, including battery or threats to an officer, possession of THC, possession of open intoxicants and operating after revocation.
He was also held on a warrant from Lake Mills police for contempt of court.
