Former President Donald Trump, VP Kamala Harris both returning to Milwaukee on Friday
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- With only five days left until the election, both major party presidential candidates are keeping Wisconsin in the political spotlight.
After appearances on Wednesday, Oct. 30 from Vice President Kamala Harris in Madison and former President Donald Trump in Green Bay, the two will each hold a rally in the Milwaukee area this Friday.
Harris will host a "When We Vote We Win" rally and concert at State Fair Park in West Allis as part of the Harris-Walz campaign’s efforts to mobilize voters ahead of Election Day, while former president Donald Trump will host a campaign rally at Fiserv Forum.
The Harris event, which is scheduled to begin around 9 p.m., will feature performances by GloRilla, Flo Milli, MC Lyte, The Isley Brothers and DJ GEMINI GILLY, with remarks by singer and rapper Cardi B, with the aim being to encourage young and non-traditional voters to participate in the upcoming presidential election on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
Details have not yet been released about the Trump event, other than it being scheduled to take place Friday at 7 p.m. at Fiserv Forum.
Cudahy police have announced road closures starting Friday evening when Mr. Trump is expected to arrive just before 6 o'clock.
While more could be added, officials said E Layton Ave. between S Howell and S Pennsylvania will be closed, along with STH 794 and other portions of downtown Milwaukee.
These are expected to last until Vice President Harris leaves on Saturday morning around 10 a.m.
