Two cited after crash between car and motorcycle in Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. (CBS 58) -- On Saturday night August 26 at 9:12 p.m., Village of Mount Pleasant Police Officers were dispatched to a crash in the 900 block of S. Green Bay Road, Highway 31, involving a motorcycle and car.

A Racine woman was backing out of a driveway onto the highway when the motorcycle hit the back of the car. The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike and landed in the median of Highway 31. He was taken to All Saints emergency room for non-life threatening injuries and later transferred to Froedtert Hospital.

The driver of the car was not injured but a passenger was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Highway 31 is currently under construction and the lanes are reduced to one lane in each direction. 

The woman driving the car was cited for backing onto a highway unsafely. The motorcyclist was cited for operating a vehicle while under the influence.
