MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two Milwaukee men are now charged in a shooting that killed a 13-year-old girl near 13th and Hadley.

Isaac Barnes, 26, and Untrell Oden, 27, are both facing charges of First Degree Reckless Homicide, Endangering Safety by Use of a Dangerous Weapon, and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

According to the criminal complaint, officers were called to a home near 13th and Hadley on Monday for a report of a shooting.

The victim's mother said she went to bed around 7 p.m. and that her children were watching television when she was awoken by the sound of gunfire around 7:45 p.m.

The mother then heard her 13-year-old daughter yelling "I'm shot! I'm shot!"

Rescue crews arrived on scene and attempted life-saving measures but despite their efforts, the girl was pronounced dead at the scene.

While police were conducting their investigation, they observed a male subject in the area. The man fled from police and officers were unable to locate him. They spoke with a woman nearby who told them that the person who ran away may have been involved in the shooting.

The woman told police that she was standing outside when the man, later identified as Barnes, approached her vehicle wearing a mask and holding a large AK-47 style firearm. Barnes allegedly told the woman "b**** you lucky the kids are in the car, I was gonna fan you down."

Officers conducted a door knock in the area in an attempt to locate Barnes. He was found hiding in a closet near 13th and Locust. The other suspect, Oden, was also located in the home along with an AK-47 pistol.

According to the criminal complaint, Oden told police that Barnes was shooting at an unknown target as they walked from the store. Oden also allegedly told authorities that Barnes had approached him about keeping guns in his home in the past.

Officers spoke with a woman who said she was in her apartment during the time of the shooting when she saw Barnes in the parking lot. She allegedly let him into her home and he was carrying a large firearm.

The firearm recovered matched the casings located at the scene.

The victim has been identified as 13-year-old Sandra Parks.
