Two Milwaukee women arrested after allegedly asking others to return stolen merchandise

BROWN DEER, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Two Milwaukee women were arrested after allegedly asking two other people to return merchandise that they had taken from the store aisles.

Police were called to the Brown Deer Walmart around 2:49 p.m. on Saturday.

According to police, a 19-year-old Milwaukee woman and an 18-year-old Milwaukee woman approached a 67-year-old Brown Deer man and a 30-year-old Detroit man and asked them to exchange an air mattress and a vacuum cleaner to which they agreed.

Police arrived on scene and counseled the two men on their behavior.

The two women were arrested for Retail Theft. One was also found to have an outstanding warrant.

The investigation remains ongoing.
