Two people displaced by early morning fire in Sheboygan

Two Sheboygan residents are being assisted by the Red Cross following an early morning fire in their home on Alabama Avenue and S 8th Street. According to a news release from the Sheboygan Fire Department, the home received about $45,000 in damage in the 6:35 AM fire. Firefighters found the fire in a first floor room. The occupants of the home were uninjured, and the family cat was rescued from a second floor apartment. The cause of the fire is undetermined.
