Tyrese and Queen Drie talk Summerfest debuts ahead of Friday performances

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Tyrese, the actor and R&B artist known for roles in "Fast and Furious" and "Transformers," joined us Friday, June 19 ahead of his first-ever Summerfest appearance.

"I'm really excited. I heard about the acres. This festival and the nine stages," Tyrese said. "I can't wait to experience it; it'll be a first for me." He headlines the T-Mobile Stage Friday night at 10:15 p.m.

Chicago-based artist Queen Drie also makes her Summerfest debut Friday and said performing on Juneteenth carries added meaning.

"June 19 is all about Freedom Day and I feel like my artistry at the core is all about freedom," she said. "Finding ways to be free. Finding ways to find freedom in joy, freedom in mental freedom. Spiritual freedom." Queen Drie takes the T-Mobile Stage at 2:30 p.m.
